Can SABnzbd Run on My Easynews Setup?

Easynews subscribers interested in using SABnzbd should note the system requirements:

• Python 3.8+ with pip installed

• Cheetah template engine for Python

• par2 and unrar utilities

• Optional: yEnc support via Python

While prebuilt versions are available for Windows and macOS, other operating systems—especially for NAS setups—may require manual installation or reliance on unofficial builds.

Insufficient memory may result in unstable performance. Devices with less than 256MB RAM and no swap space will likely encounter problems during high-throughput Internet activity.

SABnzbd does not operate on Android due to its lack of Python support.
