Save and Restore SABnzbd Settings for Easynews Users

With Easynews access through SABnzbd, backing up your environment helps keep things running smoothly if you ever reinstall or migrate to another device.

Backup Process

  1. Locate the Configuration Folder
Find the SABnzbd data directory based on your system:

    • Windows: C:\Users\[YourName]\AppData\Local\sabnzbd

    • macOS: /Users/[YourName]/Library/Application Support/SABnzbd

    • Linux: ~/.sabnzbd

  2. Fully Exit SABnzbd
This avoids issues with incomplete saves.

  3. Copy the Folder to a Safe Location
Save the entire folder, including queue and server details.

Restore Your Settings

  1. Install SABnzbd on the new system

  2. Launch and exit once

  3. Replace the default SABnzbd directory with your saved version

  4. Start SABnzbd and review Settings > Servers to confirm your Easynews connection is active
