How Many Connections Are Permitted to Easynews Servers?

Easynews provides access to Usenet through multiple platforms, including the Easynews Web interface, third-party newsreaders, and mobile applications. The number of permitted connections depends on how you access the service.

Easynews Web Interface The Easynews Web interface does not require configuring any connections. Access through the Web-based platform is optimized internally and does not count toward the connection limits used in newsreaders.

Third-Party Newsreaders If you're using a third-party newsreader, Easynews permits up to 60 simultaneous connections for account types that include NNTP access. This allows faster access and browsing across Usenet newsgroups while benefiting from Easynews’s deep article retention.

Mobile Applications Connections through Easynews mobile applications operate in the same way as the Web interface. These do not count toward your NNTP connection limit.

Optimizing Your Access While up to 60 connections are permitted, most users find optimal performance with 10–20 connections, depending on their network and newsreader setup. Using fewer connections can reduce system load without impacting speed.
