Easynews Copyright Policy

Easynews is a Usenet access provider that connects users to Usenet newsgroups worldwide. As a service provider under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), Easynews complies with applicable legal requirements related to copyright.

DMCA Compliance

Easynews complies with the DMCA and processes valid takedown notices submitted under the law. If you are a copyright holder or authorized agent and believe material on Easynews-accessed servers violates your rights, you may submit a proper DMCA notice.

To be processed, the notice must:

  1. Identify the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.

  2. Identify the location of the specific Usenet article.

  3. Include your contact information.

  4. Contain a statement of good faith belief that use of the material is unauthorized.

  5. Include a statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate.

  6. Be signed physically or electronically.

Send all notices to:

Article Removal Process

Once Easynews receives a valid DMCA notice, the identified Usenet article is reviewed and, when appropriate, removed from Easynews servers. This process does not involve reviewing every Usenet newsgroup, only those identified by a properly formatted request.

Third-Party Indexers and Search Engines

Easynews does not index Usenet articles for public use outside of its proprietary search interface. If an external Indexer or search engine lists links to Usenet articles, they are responsible for their own removal procedures. Easynews has no control over these external tools.

Article Retention and Access

Easynews offers long-term article retention across supported newsgroups. If a specific article is removed due to a valid takedown request, it will no longer be accessible through the Easynews platform. Removed articles are not restored.
