Is Port Forwarding Needed for Easynews Usenet Access?

Easynews provides access to Usenet without requiring port forwarding. Whether you're using the Web-based interface or a traditional newsreader, connections are established over widely supported ports.

The SSL connection (port 563) used by newsreaders is open on most routers, so no changes are necessary. If you're using Easynews' Web-based Usenet access, port forwarding is not even a factor.

If VPN protection is in use, such as the Easynews VPN, there's no need to configure port forwarding. Your traffic remains private, and access is uninterrupted.

Easynews removes technical barriers and simplifies access to high article retention and millions of articles across all newsgroups—without needing network changes.
