With Easynews, you are able to search and access Usenet directly from your mobile device without the need of any third-party software or applications. This can be accomplished by simply logging into your Easynews account from any device with a web browser.
To remove a step and make accessing Easynews even easier on a phone or tablet, we recommend that you create an Easynews bookmark on your home screen. Below, we will show you how to do this on both an Android and iOS supported device.
Android
-
On Android devices, open up the Chrome web browser.
-
Once you have opened your Chrome web browser, log into your Easynews account by using the URL: https://members.easynews.com/login/
-
After you have successfully logged into your account, you will need to create a bookmark. To do this, tap on the menu in the upper right-hand corner, and select “Add Bookmark”.
-
Once you have created the bookmark, go to the “Mobile Bookmarks” menu, and perform a long press on the “Easynews” bookmark you just created.
-
A new menu will pop up, and from here you will tap the “Add to home screen” option. After selecting this option, you will see a success message at the bottom of your screen, and “Easynews” will now be accessible through your home screen.
iOS
-
On iOS devices, open up the Safari web browser.
-
Next, you will want to log into your Easynews account by using the URL: https://members.easynews.com/login/
-
Once you have successfully logged in, tap on the share icon that is located in the lower navigation menu.
-
Select the “Add to Home Screen” option. Here, you will be able to edit the title but if you are happy with the default “Easynews” naming convention, simply press the “Add” button that is located at the upper right hand corner of the screen.
-
Now, you will be able to access Easynews with one touch directly from your home screen.
