How to Filter Usenet Articles by Date in Easynews

Easynews makes it easy to narrow your Usenet search results by date using filters built into both the basic and advanced Web interfaces. These tools help you quickly access articles from a specific time period without manually scrolling through pages.

Using Date Filters in Basic Search

After performing a basic search in the Easynews Web interface:

  1. Look at the Left Menu:

    • Once your search results load, find the Date Posted section in the left-hand menu.

  2. Choose a Time Range:

    • Select one of the available options to filter the search results:

      • Last 24 hours

      • Last 7 days

      • Last 30 days

      • Last 365 days

  1. View Results:

    • The displayed articles will update based on the selected time frame.

Using Date Filters in Advanced Search

To define a custom date range:

  1. Open Advanced Search:

    • Navigate to the advanced search option in the Easynews Web interface.

  2. Set Start and End Dates:

    • Enter your desired start and end dates in the date fields provided.

  1. Run the Search:

    • Submit your search to display only the articles posted within the specified range.

Saving Your Search

After performing a search, you can save it for future use:

  • Press the blue button with the save icon on the search results page. This stores your search for easy access later.

Using these filters helps refine search results according to article retention timelines, improving navigation through large sets of Usenet data.
